The homeland of peacocks

In the west of Yunnan Province China, there is a beautiful piece of land, which is named Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture.

The electric power


  Before 1957, the water electricity resource in Dehong was not developed and used. In September, 1957, the Fengping village in Luxi, primarily gathering the capital from the populace, constructed first small water electricity plant of Dehong, the installed machine power of which was 12.5 kilowatts. After that, there was an upsurge to construct the small water electricity plants. By 1978, Dehong had constructed 171 small water electricity plants in the countryside, installed 184 machine-equipments, the storage capacity of which was 15,104 kilowatts, the designed power rate per year was 59.02 million kilowatt-hours, and the total investment was 76.373 million Yuan. After the three plenary conference of the 11th session of CPC, the construction of the water electricity in Dehong had made a great progress. In September, 1993, the Husa River two-level electricity plant was constructed and it was the first plant owned the regulating reservoir in Dehong; in January, 1997, the Husong River water plant in Yingjiang county was completed and began to generate and it was the first plant, the single machine-equipment capacity of which broke through 30,000 kilowatts. From 1978 to 2000, Dehong newly built 34 water electricity plants, the machine units were 106, and the storage capacity was 179,057 kilowatts. By the end of 2002, Dehong has 57 water electricity plants in use, 106 machine units, 192,506 kilowatts of the storage capacity, 92,020 kilowatt-hours of the designed power rate per year, and the total investment was 877,278,500 Yuan.

  In 2003, with the implementation of the big development strategy of the west of China, Dehong raised the upsurge to construct the water electricity once more. By 2005, except the Dayingjiang River four-level, the LongJiang River, the Mengnai River ladder-level, the main water electricity plants in the plans all began to construct or prepare to construct. Dehong had 35 water electricity plants in building, mainly including the first-level, second-level, third-level of the Dayingjiang River, the third-level, fourth-level, sixth-level of the Mengga River, the third-level of the Mengdian River, the Tucan plants of the Binglangjiang River and the Langwai River plant, and the scale of the machine-equipment was 826,200 kilowatts, and the total budget of the investment was 3.48 billion Yuan.

  On the hand of the construction of the electricity net, the electricity plants directly supplied the users with the 0.4 kilovolts and the 10 kilovolts before 1970; in 1971, the Padi plant and the Mangshi Plant were completed at the same time, they were the earliest plants with 35 kilovolts in the prefecture; in 1988, the Padi 110-kilovolt plant began to operate; on March 26, 1997, the 110-kilovolt loop net began to operate. In 1999, 7 110-kilovolt plants were completed and 8 transform machines were installed, the storage capability of which was 16.55 kilo-volt-ampere; there were 32 35-kilovolt plants and 48 transform machines installed, the storage capability of which was 118,500 kilo-volt-ampere. In August, 2004, the 220-kilovolt transform project and the input system of the 110-kilovolts project began to build. The length of the 220-kilovolt line was 119.5 kilometers, the length of the 110-kilovolt line was 185.7 kilometers, the storage capability of the transform machines was 406,000 kilo-volt-ampere, and the total investment of the two projects were 482,480,000 Yuan. On August 14, 2005, the south electricity net company formally entered Dehong, it mainly operated the electricity-transform and the electricity-transfer above the 220-kilovolt; on December 30, 2005, the 220-kilovolt Luxi electricity transfer and transform project began to operate, which was the base of the electricity transfer in Dehong.

  In 2005, there were 57 electricity generation plants with 265,600 kilowatts of the equipment installed in Dehong. Among them, there were 57 water electricity power stations with 265,200 kilowatts of the equipment installed. The amount of the electricity power generated was 1,304,650,000 kilowatt-hours every year, the sale quantity of the local electricity net was 1,004,290,000 kilowatt-hours, in which the sale quantity of the provincial electricity net was 108.1 million kilowatt-hours. The abundant electric power resources has laid the foundation for the local national economy and the various social tasks, led the high-consumed energy industrial development. At present, the committee and the government in Dehong have taken the water electricity industry as another cornerstone industry of the economy, and the prefecture has formed the industrial system based on the water electricity, taking the sugar processing as the cornerstone.        There are many rivers in Dehong, the water volume is abundant, the mountains are high and dangerous, the dropping variance of the rivers is great and concentrative and the water energy resource is rich, so the volume of the water energy in Dehong is 3.624 million kilowatts in the theory. Among this, the volume of the water energy of the Daying river system is 1,529,700 kilowatts, which accounts for 42.2% of the volume of the prefecture; the Ruili river system 1,136,300 kilowatts, accounting for 31.4%; the northwest various rivers 777,600 kilowatts, accounting for 21.4%; the Nu river system 180,800 kilowatts, accounting for 5%. The water energy resource concentrates to the Yingjiang County, the volume of which is 2.148 million kilowatts, accounting for 59.3% of the volume of the prefecture. There are 38 rivers, the volume of the water energy of which is above 10,000 kilowatts. There are 10 rivers, the volume of the water energy of which is above 100,000 kilowatts. They are: the Daying River flowing through Tengchong, Lianghe, Longchuan and Yingjiang, the Ruili River flowing through Tengchong, Longling, Luxi, Ruili and Lianghe, the Binglong River flowing through Tengchong and Yingjiang, the Mengnai River, the Mengge River and the Mengdian River flowing through Yingjing, the Nanwan River flowing through Longchuan, the Nandi River flowing through Lianghe and Yingjing, the Mangshi River flowing through Longling and Luxi and the Zhina River flowing through Yingjing.
