On October 17, calligraphy and painting exhibition marking the 19 th CPC National Congress opens in Dehong University for the Aged. The one-month exhibition is to end on November 17.
Aiming to display the achievement made by Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Society for the Aged in the past twenty years, the exhibition conveys the retired cadres’ expectation for the success of the congress. It will guide them to tell Chinese stories and spread Chinese spirit.
Among the 210 attendees of the opening ceremony are leaders from relevant departments, retired cadres and students from Dehong University for the Aged. Zhang Guolong who is former chairman of CPPCC Dehong Committee and Yang Wenzhong, the consultant of Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Society for the Aged， unveil the ribbon for the opening ceremony.
The exhibition features grand scale, colorful content and fine art. 230 works are on exhibition, including 156 pieces of calligraphy, 64 paintings and 10 pairs of couplets. The works cover various topics, with some praising the party’s privileged policy for the aged while others displaying the splendid sceneries in the border area.
