The Asian Coffee Association established in Mangshi

  The Asian Coffee Association Inaugural Meeting and 2017 Asian Coffee Annual Conference was held in Mangshi on November 27.

  The guests attending the event maintained that coffee in Dehong boasts of fine quality and high yield. They expressed the wish that the conference would promote information and resource exchange among the coffee industry in Asia. They also hoped the conference would present Dehong coffee to the world and spread its fame.

  Xiong Xiangren, the newly elected president of Asian Coffee Association, said, “Asia enjoys the fastest growth in coffee consumption. China spends about 200 billion Renminbi(RMB) on coffee, raising by 20 percent year-on-year, ten times the growth rate of international consumption.”

  The Asian Coffee Association, initiated by more than 20 Asian countries in 2015, is a regional organization of coffee industry. Dehong has been chosen as the permanent home of the annual meeting of the association.
