The 17th Myanmar-China Border Trade Fair inaugurated in the central business district of Muse, Myanmar’s largest land port on December 12.
Huang Shan, an inspector of the Department of Commerce, Yunnan Province, said in her speech that along with the development the Belt and Road Initiative and the construction of the economic corridor of Bangladesh, China, India and Myanmar, the development of the key opening pilot area in Ruilihas been accelerated. Yunnan has become an important window for the cooperation with countries in Southeast Asia and South Asia.
With larger scale, richer commodities and more pragmatic activities,the fair provided a more powerful guarantee for bilateral economy and trade, education and health, tourism and cultural exchanges and cooperation. There were 380 exhibition booths, including 140 Chinese enterprises with 260 exhibition booths and 80 Burmese enterprises with 120 exhibition booths.
