 Trachypithecus Phayre is an endangered species and listed as national first-level protected animal.More than 200 Trachypithecus Phayres were spotted in January 2018, which immediately drew much attention from different fields. According to the statistics from Kunming Institute of Zoology and Botany, five communities of Trachypithecus Phayres live in Mangshi, totaling 320. To protect the ecological diversity and balance of the anmials' habitat , joint efforts have been made in ensuring the safety of their habitat, perfecting monitoring system, striving for support from philanthropic organization and promoting coexistence between man and nature.
